Good news is that since the drive is just a laptop drive with SATA hookups, I just commandeered a newer PC in the office. Unhook the CD drive (who uses that shit anymore anyways), and plug in the drive, run a chkdsk, and voila!

I’m getting the important stuff first (audio files, Stanley Cup pictures), and I can back up the rest at home.
