You know, I was thinking last night… what legal hoops would have to be jumped through to publish a Garfield Minus Garfield book? Obviously Travors can’t publish it on it’s own since the trademarks begin to Jim Davis. But Davis has somewhat endorsed the comic. Davis could probably legally do it on it’s own, but it would be really disingenuous, seeing as it was Travors’ idea. Seeing how big of a success the series has been, you would think that a book would be at least somewhat successful. Or maybe I just want to see the notion released to the public en masse.
